Dishwasher Drain | Unclogging

Before you take anything apart, run the diagnostic cycle: unclogging dishwasher drain

I grabbed a bucket and placed it under the U-shaped trap (the P-trap) of the sink plumbing. I unscrewed the slip nuts by hand—praying the previous owner hadn't used a wrench—and pulled the trap free. Whoosh

Wash the filter under warm running water with dish soap and a soft brush (like an old toothbrush) to remove greasy buildup.
