The transition from passive screen sharing to active, touch-based mentorship can significantly improve remote guidance, software training, and collaborative troubleshooting. This paper introduces Mac Mentor Touch , a conceptual framework and feature set enabling real-time touch gestures, annotations, and guided cursor control on macOS devices. By extending existing technologies such as Sidecar, Universal Control, and Screen Sharing, Mac Mentor Touch allows a mentor to draw, point, tap, and highlight directly on a mentee’s screen using an iPad or touch-enabled input. We discuss use cases in education, IT support, and creative workflows, evaluate technical feasibility, and propose a privacy-aware implementation.
